no subo gordas... pretty hilarious!

Meet my niños...

my Discovery kids... oh how I miss them! Toño, Luis, Martin, Ale, Fatima... and Miranda who is hiding behind me when I took this picture. My last day teaching at Discovery school was a week and a half ago and at the beginning of the semester I was super excited for the last day to teach my hooligans, but now that they're gone I really miss them!
I bet you can't guess who my favorite student was... meet Martin. He asked me all the time to draw a mustache on his face with my permanent marker, and that would've been bad news if his mom would've picked him up and found out that I had drawn on her sons face with permanent marker! So I came up with a better idea... I whipped out my handy first aid kit and drew on a bandaid! Genius! and then the rest of the kids wanted one to... it made for an excellent group photo!

One of my activities a few weeks ago was making parachute people... Harry Potter is super popular here in Mexico. Leonico was so excited for the new one to come out that he dedicated his parachute man to being Harry! ha ha Toño's was Voldemort but he didn't want to hold it up in the picture. I also got a pretty hilarious video of the two of them singing that 'Harry Potter, Ron Ron Ron Weasley' song from youtube... it's excellent!
trying to get a good picture of Luis was hard... all he would do was roll his eyes back in his head and laugh... so here ya go... this pretty much sums up Luis. Goofy, goofy, goofy

and Miranda. after looking at the goofy pictures of Luis she couldn't take a normal picture. She tried so hard to help me go cross eyed, but I just couldn't do it! Miranda was definitely one of my favorite students, not that I should be ranking them... because actually, they're all my favorites! She always stayed after class and helped me clean up, and was great at helping me write on the board and answer questions. Her favorite thing to do was steal my markers out of my bag and re-write everything I had written to make it 'prettier'   and then there's Emilio. He wasn't actually my student. He was Timber's, but I got him for rotations and he was definitely my favorite of all the rotation kids. He thought everything I did was amazing! Usually he was pretty crazy, and it took some work to keep him busy, but one day he was really quiet so I asked 'what's up Emilio?' and he said, 'Teacher Pagina... how do you know how to do everything?' ha ha I thought it was so cute that he thinks I can do everything!

and now my Help! kids... meet Hector. he may be the cutest little Mexican boy ever! One day when I came into the opening room to start class, I opened the drama closet and found him sitting in the puppet box! and then another day we were making apple smiles and he had a bit too much fun with the chocolate frosting... he's so cute that we even had to come up with a new rule for our kids (mostly the girls). rule #7 No kissing the Hector!
me and some of our boys... they are SO crazy sometimes! but always tons of fun... This is Hector, Aldo, Eduardo and Hiram

Meet Hiram. He is pretty much the funniest kid I know. He might be five years old, but when you ask him when his birthday is he shrugs his shoulders and says, 'I donno.' I even tried asking in Spanish... he really doesn't know! Hiram's favorite thing to do is scare people and he's actually pretty good. He's gotten me a few times and laughs way hard every time. Here he's wearing a bird hat. I told him that it looked like a bird had eaten him and his face was sticking out of the mouth. He just looked at me and said, 'Teacher Paige es crasy'
playing 'down by the banks' is a must do every single day and if I forget, the kids ALWAYS remind me!
this is Ivanna. She is hilarious. She's super sassy and most of the time quite the stinker. Without fail she brings something to class every single day. One day she brought party blower things... she shared with everyone. You can see what they decided to do with them...

So there ya go... these are the kids that brought me to Mexico. They are cute and hilarious, crazy and fun and it is a blast to teach them!

Just for Jayne

Dear Jayne... See, I told you I didn't forget about your birthday! I just forgot to post this blog! These are my niños singing to you! When I asked if they would sing happy birthday to my sister, they were sooo excited! and Mikel even danced the whole time. I hope you like it and had a great birthday!! Love you!
