a crazy week!

well this week has been fun! first off it was spring break last week so i worked, played and did lots of projects! it was a fun week. then this week has been crazy busy with getting back into school and stuff. lots of tests and homework due. went to the Utah Fine Art Museum. Hunger Games happened. and then there was colorfest. fun week.

thanks jayne for going to a dance instead of this awesome concert. boyce avenue and secondhand serenade are awesome live even if the venue was  way too crowded...it was still fun!

March!

woo... so it's been a while since I last posted anything... so here's what's been going on in March so far!

first off... I went to New Mexico! fun times...

then it was my favorite cousin's birthday... Leah! and now she's seven! woo!

then over spring break, it was my other favorite cousin's wedding... so fun!

after they kissed Danny had lipstick all over and Rachel thought it was funny... so cute!

I found a sugar stash in Leah's pocket and she said 'ah don't tell my mom!' ha ha it was hilarious

the creative life

being an art major means that I pretty much have to be creative all the time. and I am, usually. this week and last week I've had so many art projects due that I've had to totally come up with an idea and then work with it... and I've been struggling! in my classes we always do class critics where we hang our art up on the wall and our class judges it. ha ha sounds kinda scary, and sometimes it is. but usually very helpful too. well... for these projects I got so caught up in asking everyones opinions on all my art that I got distracted from the ones that I like the most! lame... then I found this quote...

and found that it's very true! I decided to quit stressing... then guess what? I came up with a brilliant design that I love! yeah!

this is incredible! we talked about family history in my institute class the other day and someone was talking about a cool fan chart. so i found it! nine generations of history!! incredible!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Well... Christmas was almost a month ago... but better late then never!

 Every year on Christmas Eve my mom's side of the family gets together for a big party! We eat honey baked ham, open presents, have a wrapping paper fight and then a pajama parade! It's a blast and... my family is pretty hilarious!

Then on Christmas morning we wake up, open our presents and go to Grandma Wortley's house for breakfast! We have waffles, eggs, orange juice and grapefruit. Then we open more presents and hang out with the family! 

 I bet you can't guess who found my camera...

 For New Year's my mom found some paper lanterns (like the ones from Tangled) and we went up on the boulevard and let them go! Our first attempts weren't too good and we just about caught our neighbors house on fire... but we got better and they were so cool to watch float away! This one we watched until it burned out and then we drove around and found it!
